What Did We Harvest

Our lettuce did remarkably well this year. Aside from the usual Salad Bowl, Bib, Green and Red Leaf varieties we also grew a funny little lettuce called Freckles... and it did have freckles. So cute.

Installed Woolly Pockets

Here's the Woolly Pockets that are now covering the ugly fence in the back of the garden. Can't wait to see how they look once the plants start growing.

Looking For Volunteers

I'm hoping that more families and community volunteers interested in gardening will join our little school garden. We could use help trimming trees, weeding, and building new garden beds.
This week I'm bringing over 130 bulbs for the pre-K, kindergartners and younger kids to plant. We are still installing + planting the Woolly Pockets, hope to have photos soon.
I'm also trying a new look for the blog... starting year 3 with a fresh face.
